Typically from a blend of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah & Charbono - this wine shows off aromas of brown and blac spices, licorice, five spice, dark cherry, sweet tobacco, blackberry and stewed plums. On the palate - bold, lush, fruity, very expressive textures, abundant though not overdone tannins, just medium+ acidity, weighty and dry. A mix of crushed fruit and crushed flowers alongside some five spice, vanilla and sweet oak with brown sugar add weight complexity and length. A lovely example of a classic wine - well made and worth your investment. Drink now and through 2026 (& likely beyond if stored well).
