Mount Michael Bessie’s Block Pinot Noir 2014 Central Otago

Youthful, varietal and fresh with a red fruits bouquet. Aromas of raspberry and plum, garrigue and savoury wood spices. Dry on the palate with firm youthful tannins, ripe red berry fruit flavours and plenty of acidity. The tannins are definitively chalky, highlight by some toasty wood spices and slightly warming alcohol. Overall balanced and well made with some decent length and finish. Still developing so best to drink from 2020 through 2027.
