Mount Michael Bessie’s Block Pinot Noir 2013 Central Otago

Distinctive, ripe, focused and varietal. Aromas of garrigue and dry spice, red cherry and old raspberry. Plenty of sweet oak wood and brown spice scents. Well into its integration when it first hits the palate then the acid line and firm youthful tannins take over revealing a wine still finding harmonies with the fruit. Flavours of red berries, oak, wood spices and concentration are highlights for this wine. Lengthy finish with best drinking from 2020 through 2028.
