Mills Reef Reserve Syrah Gimblett Gravels 2017 Hawkes Bay

Vibrant, fruity spicy, varietal and distinctive with flavours on the palate including red currant and raspberry, some red plum and violet. Peppery and dry with medium tannins, plenty of acidity, both adding texture and bite. Still young and developing so some cellar wouldn’t go amiss. Decant for service, best from late 2019 through 2025.
