Misha’s Vineyard High Note Pinot Noir 2018
Smells like Bendigo - mineral, wild flowers and ripe red berry fruits. Firm tannins, ripe tannins, plenty of acidity. Flavours of dark berries then a light toasty barrel flavour and texture pushing through. Even, balanced, still closed with medium+ length. Has a Burgundy 1er Cru moment which is exciting showcasing its potential. Needs time. Best from 2022 through 2030+. 94 Points
Misha’s Vineyard High Note Pinot Noir 2017
No mistaking the core of fruit - raspberry, cherry, plum. Spice and barrel layers beginning to emerge after a few minutes in glass. Aromas and flavours are more fruit centric with this vintage and expression making it more approachable. Still has youthfully firm tannins and great acid line with a lengthy finish. It is quite fine and elegant, floral and precise. 95 Points
Misha’s Vineyard High Note Pinot Noir 2016
Aromas of savoury and spice, wildflowers and Bendigo mineral and stony schist-like flavours. Vanilla and baking spices, firm tannins with a coarser texture, and plenty of acidity with a contrasting fruit core. Tense and youthful still with moments of sour cherry on the finish. A fine wine still integrating and will continue to age well. 94 Points
Misha’s Vineyard High Note Pinot Noir 2015
A complete wine on the nose and palate. Settled - with a fine balance between fruit, oak and savoury complexity. Raspberry, cherry, wild thyme and baking spices. Tannins are beginning to integrate while acidity remains poignant. Minerality sits nicely in the background. Has a floral moment on the finish - very nice! For this wine I notice a Pinot Noir clone more than in other examples tasted today. 95 Points
Misha’s Vineyard High Note Pinot Noir 2014
Concentration and complexity. Riper fruit aromas, a developing yet mild savoury complexity and an echo of Bendigo. Darker plum, cherry and dried red berry fruit flavours. Firm polished tannins, nice acid line, complex, lengthy and still youthfully tense. Feels warm. 95 points
Misha’s Vineyard High Note Pinot Noir 2013
Love this wine - it has concentration, elegance and complexity. Floral too with roses then sweeter oak and mild savoury flavours. More of a Bendigo signature towards the finish. Very age-worthy wine, still potent, complex and youthful. Tannins starting to melt into the core. The finish is absolute Bendigo. 96 Points
Misha’s Vineyard High Note Pinot Noir 2012
Complete, ready and with a developing bouquet. Some of the toastier oak side seems to show, but well managed by contrasting fruit and sweetness of fruit - alcohol and oak. Satin textures, chalky integrating tannins and lengthy finish. A floral note on the finish is very appealing. Third taste a much prettier wine, but still with a little mystery. A wine to enjoy over several hours and watch it develop - this is Pinot Nir after all. 94 Points
Misha’s Vineyard High Note Pinot Noir 2011
Complete and ready. Aromas of autumn leaves and pressed roses, red berries and a Bendigo wild savoury core. An intriguing wine - seems complete through the palate. Chalky-ish tannins and acidity great now. Oak is firmly in the background but does show some of the slightly drier tannins now that the wine has bottle-development. 93 Points

Almost complete, nearly ready. A lovely concentration of fruit, baking spice and mineral. A seam of savoury dried spice then fine tannins with a chalky-ish almost dusty feel. Flavours of red berries and plums, some dried rose. A savoury Bendigo core begins to show after a while in the glass. Dry. 94 Points

A fading red cherry appearance reflects the vintage. Floral, darker spices - cedar, cinnamon, then roses and dried herb savoury scents. Tastes complete and ready with an even texture. There are tannins and acidity, some savoury baking spices and moments of dried herb. Nice wine - if anything less of a Misha's Vineyard signature. 92 Points

The core of the wine is pure and fruit centric. The oak layers in slowly. An abundance of tannins and acidity, dried thyme and rocky soils. Youthful and primary still. Complex and lengthy. 96 Points

Misha’s Vineyard Verismo Pinot Noir 2012
Very elegant, beguiling, seductive. A concentration of fruit, flowers and spice, dried herb and core of fruit. The fruit shows raspberry and red cherry, but also some red apple skin. - is showing some secondary moments too. There's sweetness of fruit contrasted by firmness of chalky tannin textures and acidity remains consistent. A delicious wine. A touch of mushroom/porcini - like flavours are intriguing. 97 Points

Intriguing and complex. A touch more dried herb and savoury before the fruits engage with plums and raspberries then cherry. Dry, firm tannins with a chalky texture; youthful, plenty of acidity. Oak is well placed with some density yet showing more background and foundation influence. 95 Points
Misha’s Vineyard Verismo Pinot Noir 2010
Bold, fruity, toasty, intriguing and with darker berries, toastier wood aromas and flavours. This is a bigger wine in terms of power and concentration - more of the iron fist in velvet glove mouthfeel. Flavours reflect the nose with contrasting firm tannins and a touch of chalk dust. Not too long, but persistent and consistent even as the flavours and textures fade. 96 Points
Misha’s Vineyard Verismo Pinot Noir 2009
Faded colour throughout with a slightly more orange rim. A complete wine on the nose and palate showing some tertiary moments with drier fruits and mushroom. A mix of primary and secondary fruit flavours, firm tannins and medium+ acidity. Balanced and well made , a reflection of the vintage, but still a wine with plenty of pinosity. 92 Points

Ripe, fruity, intense and inviting. A delicate Germanic note highlights the mineral core before aromas of lemon and mandarin, limeflower and lees. Palate reflects the nose with purity and intensity, off-dry sweetness and contrasting acidity. Delicious. A sweet citrus pith note adds length and a reminder that Riesling delivers charm and elegance as well as a little mystery. 94 Points

Aromatic, spicy, core of fruit, apple blossom and lime, sweet apple and peach notes then mineral. More lime-like at first on the palate, then apple and white fleshed stone fruits. The use of older barrel begins to show some lees-barrel ferment moments - but very quiet. Plenty of acidity, mandarin and limeflower on the finish. VVG. 96 Points

Beginning to show some maturity, density and depth. Soft toasty bottle-age notes layered between mineral, stony layers. Definitively off-dry yet still has contrasting acidity. Lovely weight and persistency. Lime and lemon, apple and fruit spice. Lengthy, enticing and juicy. "Oyster shell - Chablis-like" said Oliver - and I agree. After a few minutes there's more intense mineral flavours - stony, schist. After 10 minutes the wine becomes more exciting and complex. 97 Points

Complete and ready, but will also age even more developing complexity along the way. Third taste - great length and finesse. 93 Points
