Stormwood Chardonnay 2023, Waiheke Island, Auckland

A bold fruity and smoky oak bouquet filled with scents of roasted stone frits and grapefruit peel, there’s vanilla baked custard quality and stony earth quality. A full-bodied expression with a lovely complex palate with driven by lees and tannins then acidity and flavours of stone and citrus fruits. Roasted Brazil nuts and clove and barrel spice are enhanced by the acid line. Excllent length and sty;le. Best drinking from 2025 through 2030+.
