Lawson's Dry Hills The Pioneer Pinot Noir 2023, Marlborough
A bouquet of ripe red berry fruits, spice concentration and sweet barrel smoke. There’s a layer of dry earth and stone complexity, clove and raspberry pie. A dry wine on the palate with textures from tannins and acidity touching first, then flavours of red berries and plum, barrel spice and a gentle smoky wood complexity. Well made, plush and poised for some more cellar time. Best drinking from 2027 through 2033.
