Wishbone Cabernet Merlot 2020, Hawkes Bay

Great colour intensity and bouquet with dark berries, plums and smoky earth and wood highlights. On the palate a dry wine with an earthy theme of brown clay and iron sand, then a core of dark red berry fruits, roasted blackberry and bell-pepper, Doris plums and tobacco. Youthful and taut with a developing flavour profile, firm tannins and plenty of acidity for grip and freshness. Best drinking from 2027 through 2033+. Excellent value.
