Lake Chalice 'The Raptor' Chardonnay 2023, Marlborough

A nicely measured bouquet and palate with a mix of wood spice and peach, vanilla and barrel smoke framed by the just creamy mouthfeel. Additional flavours of nut, banana and nectarine, crumbled stone and a fine lees complexity add depth and style. A decent acid line carries flavours and textures throughout the palate. Nice wine with best drinking from 2025 through 2028.
