Mills Reef Winery Reserve Pinot Noir 2023, Marlborough

An enticing bouquet of ripe red berry fruits and wood smoke, some barrel spices and clay stone mineral highlights. Red currant and plum, black currant and cherry, a touch of cola. Firm, dry, balanced and well made with fine tannins and acidity framing the core fruit flavours that reflect the bouquet. Moderate length, plenty of enjoyment from this example with best drinking from 2025 through 2029.
