Abel Methode Cider 2022, Nelson

Vintage dated cider is rare in NZ and there’s a good reason why, it must be good and it must be age-worthy. Here is one excellent example that ticks all the boxes of quality and complexity. Aromas of lees and a fine honey malt suggestion, then quince, baked apple and preserved lemon. A bright youthful attack on the palate, a finer mousse fades just enough to user in flavours of pineapple then lees and apples, some honeysuckle and white spice. A complex drink that is both interesting and thirst quenching. Rather delicious drinking from day of purchase and through 2026+.
