Babich Chardonnay 2024, Hawkes Bay

A classic Hawkes Bay style with a core of ripe stone fruit scents and flavours from nectarine to peach, then a grapefruit quality. There’s also a layer of spices from some light skin contact to wood spices, then a touch of wood smoke. Nice weight and intensity, dry and lengthy. Acidity is medium+ adding a freshness and zing across the palate. Well made with best drinking from 2025 through 2029+.
