Chocolate in a Bottle, NV, South of France
There’s an instant recognition and memory from your childhood that bursts from the glass, a bouquet of power and intensity, familiarity and intrigue. For me, the scent of hazelnut touches first then a fine milky chocolate aroma. Both of these scents mask the idea of fruit, however the look and feel is like a classic sparkling wine with a stand out and intriguing bouquet. On the palate the palate is touched by the effervescence and acidity first then in a split second the rush of chocolate and hazelnut return. Balanced and well made with a lengthy finish. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2025+.

This sparkling wine is a creation by Flemish Sommelier Tom De Bruyn, blending Belgium's finest chocolate with French Blanc de Blancs wine. Collaborating closely with a skilled winemaker near Perpignan for over a year, they meticulously crafted this luxurious beverage. Grapes grown in sandy and slate-rich terroirs undergo traditional vinification before being infused with essence of Belgian chocolate and hazelnut extract.
This results in a wine that captivates the senses with aromas of chocolate and hazelnut, leading to a palate where chocolate initially dominates, gracefully transitioning to the fruitiness of the grapes. Balanced by crisp acidity and delicate bubbles, this very well-crafted wine is best enjoyed chilled—first in the fridge, then briefly in the freezer or ice bucket to reach the optimal serving temperature of 2-3oC / 36oF.
