Trinity Hill Single Vineyard'Thomson's Block' Syrah 2020, Hawkes Bay

An excellent bouquet of dark plums and baked raspberry, there’s some wood smoke and baking spices, a dusting of pepper, anise and aged meat scents. Firm and dry with a taut youthful palate squeeze. There’s also a settling in of the fruits and textures creating a seamlessness through the palate as well. Tannins are firm, acidity adds drive and power, fruit flavours reflect the bouquet and there’s a smoky smoked meats quality carrying flavours of baking spices and earth. A wine that finishes as it began with flavours of dark berries and spice. Best drinking from 2025 through 2035.
