Pyramid Valley 'Springs' Chardonnay 2022, North Canterbury

A complex wine bouquet with scents of mineral and lees, chalk soils and clay, yellow fleshed stone fruits and grapefruit then a seam of wood spices and wild flowers. Medium+ weight and intensity with an understated complexity and charm. Flavours of citrus then stone fruits, peach tea and lemon dominate the palate, with lees and flowers, some wood spice complexities to follow. Well made, new and delicious. Best drinking from 2025 through 2032+.
