Matawhero Single Vineyard Pinot Gris 2024, Gisborne

A lovely ripe fruited and youthful bouquet of pomaceous fruits from apples to green pear, some quince then orange and lees spices. A satin-smooth touch on the palate precedes flavours of orange and pear, red apple and lees a fine layer of spice. The lees adds texture and complexity. Balanced and well made with a nice lengthy finish. Best drinking from late 2024 through 2028.
