The Goode Wine Company Barrel Fermented Pinot Gris 2023, Marlborough

A barrel-fermented from a NZ producer is quite rare. This wine showcases a bouquet of variety first with fresh and roasted pears, then a touch of spice and lees complexity. Delicious on the palate with a soft satin-cream touch then flavours of white fleshed orchard fruits, apple and lees complexity with a white spice quality and developing fine savoury core. Very easy to on the palate with phenolics easily dissolved leaving behind a refreshing mouthfeel with fruit and a whisper of ginger spice. Best drinking from 2024 through 2028.
