Black Cottage Merlot 2022, Hawke's Bay

Great colour and intensity with aromas and flavours of black currant berries then dark skinned plums. There’s flavours of blackberry wine gums and violets alongside some light baking spice and lees suggestions. Plenty of acidity for freshness and length and a light gravel mineral quality layers in depth. Best drinking from late 2024 through 2028.
