Forager Pinot Noir 2022, North Canterbury

Youthful, bright, varietal and enticing bouquet of plums and cherry, some red apple skin and a mineralised clay and stone qualities. An inherent sense of place is a theme within the bouquet. Dry and equally fruity on the palate contrasted by a chalky unfiltered texture mouthfeel, medium+ acid line and youthful tannin structure. A gentle savoury quality emerges as the wine opens out. Well made, lengthy, needs some time to settle in more with best drinking from 2025 through 2030.
