B.Wine Chardonnay 2022, Ashwell Vineyard, Martinborough

Classic, modern and expressive bouquet with the underpinning mineral softness that Martinborough white wines can carry so well. Aromas of yellow flowers and white fleshed stone fruits, a mix of grapefruit and apple then spices and complexities derived from older barrels. A satin-cream texture touches the palate first followed by flavours of citrus and spice, peach and apple. Well made, youthful with a decent acid line, warm and generous. The dry will be best enjoyed from mid to late 2024 through 2029.
