Alta Vista 'Terroir Selection' Malbec 2021, Mendoza, Argentina

Almost opaque at the core with hues of dark purple and a pink rim, plenty of colour staining of the tears. Aromas and flavours of ripe red berry fruits and milk chocolate, layers of fine clay earth and stone, boysenberry and white smoke, sweet meats and iron. Firm tannins and medium+ acid line, a core of berry fruit flavours with a mix of international spices and warming alcohol, chocolate and bacon oak flavours. A swing back to the core fruit and essence of malbec secures this example as classic and very stylish. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2030.
