Ward Valley 'Stony Beach' Sauvignon Blanc 2023, Marlborough

A bouquet and palate of classic Marlborough SB with flavours of gooseberry and cape gooseberry, grapefruit, apple and green papaya. A decent squeeze on the palate from youthful and vibrant flavours, a backbone of acidity and fruit concentration that reflect the bouquet. Some basil and sage herb moments layer in more of the Marlborough story. Moderate length with best drinking from 2023 through end of summer 2025.
