Black Estate 'Damsteep' Riesling 2022, North Canterbury

Aromatic and very enticing bouquet with distinctive aromas of lemon peel and pressed roses, mandarin peel and fresh quince. There’s also a core mineral quality suggesting wet clay and limestone. Dry on the palate driven by acidity and flavours of citrus then orange and mandarin, some lime-flower and rose. The minerality is persistent along with flavours of apple and white spice. Delicious, fresh, natural and new. Best drinking from 2025 through 2035+.
