Frenchmans Hill Estate Advenus 2015, Waiheke Island

The 2015 vintage is made with Sauvignon Blanc a usually a splash of Viognier the bouquet is complex and complete, floral and ripe with scents of gooseberry and peach then sweet bell-pepper and spice. On the palate a silken texture leads to flavours of peach and roasted apple, lemon rind and hay. Acidity is plentiful and the earthiness suggest clay. Weighty mouthfeel with a full-flavoured and textured finish. Well made, dry and quite lengthy. Best drinking from 2022 through 2028+.
