Coal Pit Pinot Noir 2022, Bendigo, Central Otago

Youthful, varietal, concentrated and pure fruited. There’s a layer of wood spice and a touch of barrel smoke alongside scents of dark cherry and baked black currant, vanilla, clove and a sweet wood scent. Delicious with weight and intensity, firm, ripe youthful tannins and acidity give a lovely squeeze as the wine touches the palate. Flavours of fruit and wood, smoke and a fine earthy savoury compeoxity add detail and length. A great example ready to drink from 2026 through 2034+. This wine has enough flavour and concnetration to be enjoyed today as well.
