Grasshopper Rock Pinot Noir 2013, Earnscleugh Vineyard, Central Otago
A slightly lighter appearance with core hues of garnet then ruby. The bouquet showcases a developing wine with dried cherry and dried herb, there’s mushroom and raspberry with moments of red currant and dried flowers. The palate also reveals a savoury mineral quality with baking spice moments of oak and a touch of smoke. Fine tannins are integrating and the acid line is robust. Lengthy, delicate, sophisticated and dry. Best drinking from 2023 through 2027+.
