Clos de Ste Anne 'Les Arbres' Viognier 2021, Gisborne

This is a wine of texture and subtle power, spice, place and time. The varietal core and intensity of this excellent wine all comes through on the palate. Flavours of apricot and peach, clay and stone soils with a whisper of bacon spice (barrel). The texture is a soft silk cream with acidity and alcohol layering in contrast and balance. A delicious wine that will continue to develop over the next 205 years. Best drinking from 2025 through 2030.
