Framingham Pinot Noir 2021, Marlborough

Dark ruby core with pinkish hues at the rim lead to a bouquet of plums and dark cherry flesh, clove and vanilla spices of oak and a light wood smoke quality. Youthful and nicely complex. On the palate - juicy, dry, fruity, varietal, fresh and delicious. Flavours mirror the bouquet with an abundance of polished tannins and clay mineral and stony soils. The oak impacts include a roasted nut quality with some reductive freshness. A lovely example with some power and finesse. Best drinking form late 2024 through 2030.
