A complex and enticing bouquet of ripe fruits and toasty wood, a mineral laden earthy quality and completeness that can only come from site and excellent winemaking. A decisive concentration on the nose of dark berries and baking spices, roasted clay earth and violets. This leads to further aromas then flavours on the palate of blackberry and roasted plums, dark chocolate and flavours of toasty barrel. Full-bodied, taut, firm textures, dry and with a back bone of acidity. Delicious, new, taut and lengthy, a wine that punches well above its weight. A wine for drinking now with the right food or continue to cellar till 2027 then drink through 2039.
