Wet Jacket Pinot Noir 2021, Central Otago

A very attractive bouquet filled with varietal aromas of dark cherry, dried raspberry and a boysenberry plum compote suggestion, there’s a mix of barrel spices and gentle wood smoke, a rugged rocky mineral core with firm tannins and a backbone of acidity locking flavours and textures in place. Youthful and taut with cellar time and bottle development into more complex flavours and textures assured. Delicious, lengthy and well made. Best drinking from 2025 through 2033+.
