Lime Rock 'White Knuckle Hill' Pinot Noir 2007, Central Hawke's Bay

Complex, developed, varietal and enticing bouquet of baking spices then dark cherry flesh, pressed rose petals and autumnal leaves. There’s some layers of wood smoke and plenty of mineral earth at the core. On the palate a delicious, complete wine with flavours that reflect the ripeness of the vintage, a core of plum and dark berry fruit flavours, tannins are perfectly placed alongside the acid line, together showcase a decent structure. This wine proves NZ Pinot Noir can age when there’s a good vintage and storage conditions combined. Excellent winemaking is of course part of the equation as well. Best drinking from day of purchase or retrieval from your cellar and through 2026.
