Fancrest Estate Pinot Noir 2019, North Canterbury
Aromas and flavours of preserved red berries, cherry ad red apple, the signature of place and style matches previous vintage with a developing mineral earthy quality, lifted aromatics and autumnal scents. Firm and dry as with firm tannins and plenty of acidity/ Flavours of red berries and preserve, baking spices and leather. Tannins have a natural firmness layering in texture and distinctiveness to the palate, acidity adds texture and carries the flavours presented in the bouquet. Well made, still developing as well as offering early drinking from day of purchase through 2029. I suggest to select a favourite cheese with slightly salty crackers as a great match for this wine.
