Huntress Pinot Noir 2021, Wairarapa

Complex and focused bouquet of pinosity and charm. Aromas and flavours of fresh, ripe cherry and raspberry trapped in a texture of abundant of fine tannins and unfiltered chalky mouthfeel and baking spices of barrel. Taut, youthful and dry with a core of red berry fruit and cherry flavours, incense and dried herb, there’s a savoury quality to the wine overall and complexities from time in wood, lees contact and excellent winemaking all leading to a lengthy dry finish. A wine that also needs some cellar time to pull together the various elements and attributes. Best drinking from 2025 through 2033.
