Monowai Merlot 2022, Hawke's Bay

A soft and fleshy textured wine with flavours of red and yellow plums then other blue fruit highlights. There’s a layer of wood spices and toasty wood smoke adding contet and complexity. Tannins are firm(ish) yet dissolve easily on the palate, acidity is medium+. A well made wine wwith an early drinking quality, best from 2024through 2028.
