Man O' War 'Totto Kulta' Syrah 2013, Waiheke Island, Auckland

Fantastic bouquet - youthful and powerful, varietal and spicy, comeplx and earthy. Aromas and flavours of crushed rock and dark berries, black currant and old roses, earth and baking spices of oak. Dry, weighty and firm with tannins still refining their edges, there’s plenty of aciidty to carry through flavours of red fruits with flavours that mirror the bouquet. Toasty barrel with some corase ground pepper and clove flavours, well made with a lengthy finsih. A fine wine, dry and bold, with a fine signature of place and time. Great drinking from 2023 through 2030.
