Askerne Chardonnay 2021, Hawke's Bay

Aromas of nectarine and roasted peach, barrel spices and toasty French oak. Varietal scents of grapefruit and orchard stone fruits, apple and a light mineral flint quality. Near full-bodied on the palate with a taut youthful grip, contrasting fruit flavours and medium+ acid line accentuated by oak. Youthful and needing some cellar time with best drinking from late 2022 through 2027.
