Pask Declaration Syrah 2019, Hawkes Bay

Ripe, varietal, fruity, savoury, almost meaty, aroma sof olives and dark berries, raspberry and black currant. A savoury peppery quality adds complexity and muscle. A complex and youthful bouquet that remibds me of Rhone with a HAwkes Bay purity. Taut and youthful on the palate with a firm youthful texture from tannins and acidity. The core of fruits reflect the bouquet with black currant then dark plum, some leather and five spice flavours emegre after a few minutes on the palate. Modern, fresh, fruity and dry, a lovely wine ready to drink from 2023 through 2029+
