Kahurangi Estate Chardonnay 2021, Nelson
Aromas of fresh yellow and white peach, apple and some grapefruit qualities, vanilla and fresh cream with a some mild yet distinctive wine barrel spices. Weighty, fleshy, creamy, warm and fruity. Plenty of varietal flavours that refelect the bouquet, a satin texture, contrasting acid line and flavours of vanilla and raw sugar that reflect the use of French oak. Some very fine fruit tannins and gently warming alcohol add weight and mouthfeel. A lovely example, ready to drink from 2022 through 2028.
