Helio Chardonnay 2020, Hawkes Bay

There's something incredibly appealing about this wine. Be prepared for it's youthful reductive energy - it's new, fresh, flinty and distracting. Aromas of fresh grapefruit and peach, there's a note of pith and lemon, these give way to a mineral stony quality adding complexity and breadth. All these ideas are mirrored on the palate with a powerful mineral earthy quality, layers of fruit ripeness and intensity. A very sophisticated and modern wine, detailed, complex and lengthy.
