Nga Waka Lease Block Pinot Noir 2020, Martinborough

Youthful, fresh, ripe and varietal bouquet with layers of red berry fruit scents, mineral, barrel spices and pinosity. Dry on the palate with rather intense flavours of raspberry and red cherry, some plum then barrel spices of clove and vanilla with a savoury soil and dried herb complexity. Firm-ish tannins and plenty of acidity. A youthful and very engaging wine, well made and ready for drinking from early 2023 through 2030.
