Stonecroft Serine Syrah 2020, Gimblett Gravels, Hawkes Bay

Great core colour and bouquet with scents of bold broody dark red berries, black currant and smoky raspberry with wood tones. Complex, youthful and quite powerful with a smoked meats quality. Delicious on the palate with core flavours dominating - dark berries, roasted meats and smoky wood with a some baked mushroom earthy qualities. Firm tannin textures with a taut youthful squeeze, plenty of natural acidity and a lengthy engaging finish. An excellent wine on its own or with food. Great drinking from late 2022 through 2030+.
