Babich Family Estates SV Pinot Noir 2019, Marlborough
There’s no mistaking the core varietal energy in the boquuet with aromas of black currant and dark plum, cherry and barrel spices, a toasty French oak quality and youthful harmonious complexity. Warm, dry, varietal and equally fruity on the palate with flavours that reflect the bouquet. Firmish tannins, medium+ acidity and ready to drink from 2022 through 2030. I can picture enjoying this wine along side a classic Italian style pasta dish with cream, fragrant herbs and smoked seafood.
