Moss Wood Pinot Noir 2020, Wilyabrup, Margaret River, Western Australia

A lovely bouquet with fragrances of roses and wild red flowers, cherry flesh and red currants. The scents of barrel suggest baking spices and some new wood with a raw sugar drive. Satin textured with a core of red fruit flavours that mirror the bouquet, the tannins and acidity start to take over after a few seconds adding a youthful texture and drive. Flavours are persistent with the tannins and oak setting a solid foundation for ageing. A medium-bodied example with a core of pinosity and complexity. Best drinking from mid to late 2023 through 2030.
