Saint Clair Family Estate Omaka Reserve Pinot Noir 2016, Marlborough

An excellent bouquet of complexity and variety, bottle age and mystery. Aromas of red fruits and fallen leaves, brown baking spices and cherry, fine toasty barrel qualities and a mix of soils with a touch of iodine and dried orange zest. Dry on the palate with fruit flavours reflecting th bouquet, barrel toast and baking spice mingle with tannins and acidity forming a sound baseline for continued ageing. There are secondary flavours here too so this is wine that is developing. It has a lengthy finish with complexity and power. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2026+.
