Elephant Hill Airavata Syrah 2019, Hawke's Bay

A powerful, complex and very entiicing bouquet of dark berries and baked earth qualities. There’s an aged meat and toasty barrel spices complexity with core black currant and dark plum flavours, there’s a leather quality and bold oak statement with clove and charred vanilla pod. Tannins are abundant, firm and ripe, acidity sets the backbone of structure in place and fruits offer contrasts soaking up the power and presence of the wood and spice qualities. Fantastic wine, complex and lengthy, detailed and youthful. Best drinking from 2024 through 2034+.
