Beach House Wines Cabernet Franc 2019, Gimblett Gravels, Hawkes Bay

An enticing bouquet of dark red berries, lots of red currant, some spice, French oak, dried herb and green olive scents. Engaging yet very youthful, quite complex. On the palate - delicious, dry, a core of fruit with dark berries and licorice, green olive and dried herb. The core is of the variety with a firm texture and acidity, flavours of dark berries and olive then a stony mineral layer, firm tannins with a coarse velvet texture. Nice long finish, well made. Needs cellar time with best drinking from 2024 through 2030. Decant for service and best enjoyed with food.
