Black Estate Home Pinot Noir 2019, North Canterbury

A beguiling complexity with a core of ripe, highly scented dark berries and red flowers, dried herb and core of minerality. Aromas of sweet gentle baking spices of French barrel and a leesy smoky complexity. Tense, ripe, fruity, youthful, varietal and pure fruited on the palate. Textures form polished tannins and medium+ acidity, then flavours of dark cherry and plum, raspberry and chalk. A lengthy finish with tension and poise. A lovely wine that deserves some cellar time with best drinking from late 2022 through 2028+.
