M & A Wines Pinot Noir 2020, Marlborough

Ripe dark red berry fruit aromas with layers of baking spices, some toasty oak scents and dark roses. Some plum and stony soil notes. Elegant, primary and very youthful. Flavours on the palate reflect the nose, but a more significant savoury drive cushioned by dark cherry, plum and warmth of alcohol. Firm youthful tannins need time to integrate. Decent acid line and plenty of pinosity. A wine that needs time to age and integrate, showing at its best from late 2022 through 2026+
