Stonecroft Chardonnay 2020, Gimblett Gravels, Hawkes Bay

Bold, toasty, fruity and youthful bouquet with aromas of baked custard and peaches, fresh red apple and vanilla, greywacke stones and toasty oak, baked grapefruit and raw sugar. Complex, youthful and forward. On the palate - full bodied, toasty, spicy, fruit and rich in flavour and texture. Fine wood tannins, warming alcohol and flavours of baked fruits, nut, barrel spices and stony mineral flavours make for a lovely example. Best kept in the cellar for a while longer with best drinking from late 2021 through 2026+.
