Cape Crest Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2019 - A captivating bouquet with its distinctive barrel ferment attack, fruits aromas of grapefruit, apples, pears and peach. Lees adds a complexity and harmony as well as complexity. Crisp, refreshing and dry. There's a mix of dried herb and spice as well as fresh herb. Lovely textures with a fine lees and fruit tannin layers. Delicious, fresh and lengthy. Best drinkning from today and through 2025+. 94 Points

Te Mata Elston Chardonnay - Fine creamy and fruit centric, a harmonious bouquet of fresh cream and vanilla, a finer gunflint moment showing off the mineral side of the wine, white smoke and tense toasty barrel moments. Dry, weighty, tense and alluring. Great texture with a core of fruit. Very youthful too with lots of acidity. A mix of fruit flavours with stone fruits and tree fruits, citrus with a whisper of pineapple. A lovely wine, very young. best from 2022 through 2028+. 94 Points

Te Mata Estate Alma Pinot Noir 2019 - Very ripe, fresh, fruit centric, varietal, with fresh red berries, some carbonic suggestions, Beaune village thoughts come to mind. Raspberry and red cherry. Dry, tense, focused and youthful on the palate. Great mouthfeel with some savoury elements showing alongside the core of fruit. Specific cooperage releases appealing flavours and textures of oak. Tannins are firm and somewhat chalky. Primary and youthful, lengthy and well made. Best from 2022 - late through 2030. 95 Points

Te Mata Estate Bullnose Syrah 2019 - Now includes some Gimblett Gravels fruit. Looks at that colour!. Dark purple and pink rim. Rhone like bouquet with spices and meats, dark berries and oak follow. Fantastic bouquet overall. Warm and generous on the palate - flavours of dark berries and spices. Raspberry and barrel spices of vanilla and clove. Firm tannins and high acidity. Excellent wine. Invest if you can. Best from late 2022 through 2030+. 96 Points

Te Mata Estate Awatea 2019 - Very youthful and concentrated with dark berries and clove vanilla oak, smoky and forward, varietal and urgent. Great wine - young and needs time, but has power and muscle I have not really noticed before. Spicy plums and dark berries, black berry and black currant. Firm tannins and acidity, youthful, focused, high energy and very exciting. Best drinking from 2022 through 2028+. 96 Points

Te Mata Estate Coleraine 2019 - Complex and very sophisticated with a calm yet mysterious package of aromas: elegance and finesse, aromas of dark berries and varietal, ripe cabernet, some sweet tobacco, dark olive and barrel spices. Very harmonious already, but lots of youth and palate tension. Big tannins, ripe tannins and acidity to match. Delicious, young, vibrant.. Best from 2028? through 2040. 97 Points
